Hello !!!

La Nouvelle Athènes has just opened, August 8 exactly, and the concerts began Tuesday 14. Serge Forté is there in residence with his trio, every Friday evenings. The album La Bohème will be presented, but Serge Forté will also play titles from his other albums.

I created for the venue some dedicated pages, just go on button "Jazz club", and also a website on Myspace, essential for the musicans’ s!

You will find on both sites same information, but more detailled here, specially for the concerts, because I have far more room !

History of the spot is absolutely enthralling, whether on painting side (appointement place for the impressionnistes), nor on Jazz side (with the quasi daily presence of Cole Porter aside Ada Bricktop Smith in the Thirties), or more generally through all the cultural life of this Paris district, named "La Nouvelle Athènes", since 1870 (Huysmans, Zola, Baudelaire, Victor Hugo, Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Picasso...)

If you have information on this place between 1936 and 2004, do not hesitate because we miss some elements (documents, testimonys, photographs) !
